Blue Star Canada Newsletter Issue 2. February 2012.
In this issue:
| Namaskar All,
The period from March 25 - May 5 commemorates the 40 Day period during which our spiritual guide Sri Vasudeva underwent intense spiritual experiences culminating in his full enlightenment. We in Canada will be joining our International Blue Star family in the observance of the auspicious 40 Day period. We encourage you to take this time NOW to prepare for this magical time by setting your intentions for the 40 days. The strong collective consciousness supporting each one of us will make the seemingly impossible, possible. Separately we are like drops of water but together we are as powerful as an ocean. “May we all be held in the light and be co-creators of a new world.” Sri Vasudeva (March 3, 2012) In loving service, Shobha Roopchan BSC President |
The Way of the Future - Co-Creative Consciousness
By Sri Vasudeva

Sri Vasudeva
_
Sri Vasudeva: I want you all to come out of the idea that I am the magical person to give all wisdom. It is important that you go into your own space and begin to intuit the wisdom. I could feel that you were holding me in this position waiting for a solution. That is really a very subtle dependency when you make me the Master and all of you, servants. That is not a co-creative process. You have conditioned yourself to listen to me, but you need to know that when I am listening to you I want to feel that you are in the same space as I am.
So let us all open up to our own inner space and know that the consciousness of “Vasudeva” is also within us. I just felt a huge wave of energy blanketing my space. It is your devotion (adoration). My goal is not for you to be devoted to me (in adoration). My goal is for you to be devoted to the one truth that we all are. Be devoted to that inner space that has all the solutions.
My way is to lead you into your own freedom. Some Gurus become “the soothsayer,” giving you all the wisdom, waiting for you to ask for more. My way is seeking to push you to enter your own space of wisdom. It is the same space I intuit from. This gives me a beautiful sense of connectivity with you that expands my consciousness. Now do you see the dynamics of this conversation and where it is going — simply to create a sort of ground or platform from where such discussions can happen from the Self. I am actually trying to get the idea of one Self in conversations. I am really leading to a co-creative way of conversation that expands the consciousness space for all of us as we intuit wisdom from one Self — and giving attention to everything about that.
I want you to stay with opening up to the one Self, because I look at you not just as disciples of mine, but as guardians or owners of the same space which we can all tap into.
All of our groups need to get there. That is what I am doing in Trinidad. You do not hear me so much on the internet, because I have been working intensively with Trinidad — co-creating teams or having teams work in a more co-creative consciousness, and working with unity from the Self. We need to come together as one team, one Self as we work together, whether it is healing, kitchen, or staging an event, whatever we do: one consciousness, one group, one Self, one leader, one vision. We need to have that and I am going to inspire everyone to come into that space of unity. We are not going to say that we are the sole leaders here, and we are helping the other. We need to come into that space where we respect everybody for their experience and work in a team as one.
That is the way of the future, where the entire world will be forced to come together as one. So we should not just preach that; we have to live it!

Blue Star Healing Circle
By Carla Cardell & Madhuri Cinanni
_
On Sunday February 12th, eight members of the Blue Star Ottawa group got together to create a sacred space during the first session of a series of Healing Circles, hosted at Joanne’s house every second Sunday.
The message discussed was “The Healing Power of the Spirit” (Day 38, 40 Days 2011). It was a wonderful reminder of how important it is to protect the mind from negative thoughts, since it is our most important tool in the journey, and as long as it is kept in good health, the mind can manage the emotional and physical pain.
It was interesting to observe how many of us go through similar challenges and to learn about each person’s different ways to deal with them.
One participant mentioned that when in crisis or in the vicious circle of negative thoughts and behaviour, it is difficult to see a positive outcome and to know how to get out of it. It was suggested to prepare ahead of time during the good times by identifying the personal patterns and cycles and creating some kind of templates/diagrams with possible solutions, as a reminder of overcoming challenges in the past.
As we got deeper into the analysis of the message, another participant said that she prefers to use “I am healing” instead of “I am healed.” By thinking in this way, she can feel part of the healing process, internalize it, and be able to see and remember the different steps in it.
Someone else asked what to do when in deep physical pain that it seems so difficult to continue with everyday activities. We talked about the importance of identifying the root of the pain or disease and looking for external help and support, if necessary. Another then shared the way she had dealt with a different scenario. This helped us to determine the following steps, using back pain as an example:

- Know yourself and identify your challenge and needs (have a low/high tolerance to pain, I am having a very strong back pain for no obvious reason, need to be able to move fast and easily)
- Once identified, stop and stay with it (sit, relax and feel the pain, meditate on it by breathing into your back and releasing the pain when you exhale, detach from the pain by thinking that it is only your back that is in pain but not you)
- Rest, drink water, eat nutritious food and exercise gently (to promote the natural self-healing part)
- Break the cycle (by putting deadlines to the healing process, i.e., two days to feel better by doing steps 1-3)
- Stay positive and find alternative solutions (if pain persists after several days, seek external help, i.e., massage, Reiki treatment, or doctor)
Motivation
By Yogeshwari Stafford
_ Motivation can come from a desire to simply fulfill our daily needs and wants, or from a wish to bring happiness to our family and friends. Altruism may motivate one to be compassionate toward the suffering and less fortunate in the world and lead one to seek activities that make society a better place in which to live.
How can we improve our motivation and grow toward being more self-motivated? For me this involves a greater understanding of what truly inspires and moves me toward action. Inspiration often leads toward motivation, but pitfalls may emerge, thus blocking progress.
A recent project, spanning 16 days, to repair and redecorate a room, using the principles of Feng Shui, offered me many opportunities to use various techniques to keep me motivated and on track to meet the deadline.
For example, building mental and physical strength is a must. I like to think of the Denver Bronco's football player, Tim Tebow. He is a great inspiration, a beautiful soul and well-rooted in spiritual life. His upbringing, along with the intense mental and physical training he received during his college football days, has made the difference. He was so positive and always trained more than most.
Create a plan. Review the tasks to be completed at the start of the day and note what was done at the end of the day for confidence building and keeping pace. This was also my special time to reflect on the day and commune with the divine, asking for continued strength and guidance. Also, it was a beautiful moment to offer gratitude for what was being received and achieved.
Avoid distractions. There are many! My rotator cuff strain did not deter me, nor did other activities and obligations. Taking regular breaks for smaller, nutritious meals and drinking lots of water helped me to maintain energy levels and an optimal immune system.
There were times, however, when my body and mind were not so willing and tiredness would strike. This had to be overcome. A "baby" step can go a long way toward increasing one's momentum or staying power. Just when you think you cannot do any more, mentally divide the remainder into small sections and continue working. This approach is less overwhelming.
Sometimes, I overcame inertia with a "healthy food" reward, or by working at something unrelated for a few minutes. Mini rests and 5-10 minute exercise periods often worked. Opening the window to remove stale air was reviving. Breathing in abundant fresh air was clearly one of my keys.
Sharing your intentions with others is great for developing self-motivation. Through emerging creativity, one can be motivated to discover many solutions. Seeing the completion of a task may fill your heart with incredible joy and heighten your mood. When in the Archer Pose, Akarna Dhanurasana, the intensity of focus draws success to you. Like Tim Tebow, always be positive and create optimal mental and physical toughness. Lastly, I would like to thank those who conveyed their thoughts to me on what motivates them. Their contribution has truly enriched this article.

Our Environment
Q&A with Sri Vasudeva
_ Seeker: Who oversees nature that is perishable?
Sri Vasudeva: The same that oversees you. It is our Source Being; that is why I say it is beyond our imagination. Nature is marvelously overseen. For those of you who have read about nature spirits and the group of souls that oversee nature, nature is being taken care of in the most wonderful way as well. It is amazing, it is an amazing co-creation and how all these forces are working in harmony, how there are soul beings also overseeing nature and tending to these lower life-forms that carry energies in them – mind blowing.
